Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1255000 and PDD1259000 and is part of the KY FMS 8, National Guard. Responsibilities As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER - TITLE 32, GS-1152-7/9, you will establish plans and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment. Implement maintenance plans and monitor progress of accomplishments. Provide status of equipment, maintenance actions in progress, and location of equipment. Input work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information. Ensure reportable Line Item Numbers (LIN) are properly managed, reported and accounted for. Program workload, shop space, and available personnel. Ensure Class 9 (CL IX) accounts are funded, budgeted, and executed to maximize readiness. Designate and maintain maintenance priorities. Monitor work priorities and status/completion of work orders. Assist supervisory personnel regarding readiness, CL IX funding, production problems and work planning. Analyze repair methods and develops control procedures and policies to assure accomplishment of programs to meet priorities and deadlines. Coordinate with units and other support activities concerning the delivery, status of repair operations, and/or pick up of completed work orders. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Military Grades: E1 (PVT) - E8 (MSG) RANK REQUIREMENT: Member must provide in writing with their application package that they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. It may be necessary to remove the incumbent through reassignment or through reduction in force placement action in order to reemploy a technician with reemployment rights under USERRA. Incumbent certifies that they understand they may be required to vacate their position when the former incumbent exercises reemployment rights. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard. You must be assigned to a compatible military position. Wear of the military uniform. Position may require a pre-employment physical. May be subject to furlough actions. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation. Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus. Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is located on a tobacco free facility. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. This position is developmental: Incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher grade upon completion of an Individual Development Plan (IDP), meeting time in grade requirements, and recommendation for promotion by supervisor. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience with planning, estimating, scheduling, and expediting the use of manpower, machines, and materials pertaining to repair operations. FOR THE GS-07: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience with planning, scheduling, and controlling the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment. Experience with work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information. Experience with current maintenance repair priorities. FOR THE GS-09: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience preparing job or work orders. Experience scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility and following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment.
