The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator supports the Global Security Management and other business function leaders for a high-profile customer. This role executes the various core functions of the GSOC to include, but not limited to, incident recognition/escalation, emergency response, product security, and physical security. The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator acts as a partner working closely with teams across the security organization and the wider business to understand information requirements, deliver timely analysis, and present key insights to internal stakeholders.
Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time GSOC Lead for a Pharma Company in Boston MAEvening Shift availableStarting Pay is $30.00 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training / Opportunity For AdvancementCandidate is Required to Have 1+ Years of Prior GSOC Experience and Must be 21+ Years oldIdeal candidate will posses a minimum of 1 year of supervisor experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee day to day operations within the GSOC, ensuring all procedures and protocols are followedManage and coordinate the activities of the GSOC team during the shift, including monitoring security systems, handling incidents, and responding to emergenciesUpdate the GSOC Operator schedule; ensure coverage for all openings and callout; notify the Account Manager if there are any open posts that cannot be coveredEnsure all GSOC activities comply with local, national, and international laws and client regulationsConduct regular audits and assessments to identify area of improvementEnsure all training requirements are met for all operators; complete training checklists for new hires and when retraining operatorsAssist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the GSOC to ensure consistent and effective operations; review and notify managers when changes need to be made to reflect new threats and organizational requirementsOversee the daily monitoring of security systems and intelligence sources feeds; ensure all monitoring and analysis activities are conducted in compliance with client policies and regulationsComplete metrics for all Operators to ensure they are meeting standards set by the clientTroubleshoot issues with the security applications and work with the system team to resolve issuesAct as the primary point of contact for incident response, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidentsCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders including emergency services as necessaryEnsure all incidents are properly documented, analyzed and reportedQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):High school diploma or equivalentLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentMinimum of two (2) years of technical writing experienceMinimum of two (2) years of verifiable security experienceMinimum of two (2) years of verifiable Global Security Operation Center experienceMinimum of two (2) years of experience using CCURE and other surveillance tools (e.g., Genetic)Must possess one or more of the following:Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National GuardService in auxiliary police or police cadetsBachelors Degree or higher in Emergency Management, Communications, Information Technology, Political Sciences, Criminal Justice, or related field of studyTechnical writing skillsTeamwork, coaching, mentoring skillsProficient Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Excel, Word)Solid computer knowledge and skills, experience working with complex platformsAbility to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitorsAbility to communicate at an executive level, both written and orally, through superior communication skillsAbility to make decisions, multi-task, and operate within high demand situations, often under time constraintsPossess working knowledge of current global events and global geography/culturesAbility to analyze and think critically, sometimes under ambiguous circumstancesAbility to follow written policy and proceduresPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):Military and/or law enforcement experienceCollege degree in Communications, Criminal Justice, or related field of studyBENEFITS:Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceEnrollment in our companys 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirementsEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
