Job Summary
To provide consultation, diagnosis and treatment of related medical conditions, under supervision of Medical Chief Officer.
Essential Functions
Examines patient, takes medical history, records results, and makes preliminary diagnosis or decides on follow- up procedures; .Administers or orders diagnostic tests, blood work, and interprets test results;Performs therapeutic procedures such as immunizations, injections, and managing infection;Exercises professional judgment regarding consultation with medical director concerning appropriate treatment;Develops and implements patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients and records progress;Prescribes medications to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations;Provides health education regarding health maintenance especially in the realm of STD prevention;Prescreens cases requiring review by the Medical Chief Office;Participates in staff meetings, planning meetings and other meetings as needed;Participates in the program's ongoing quality assurance monito ring.

Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.Maintain current license, DEA registration and BLS certification.Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.Report to work on time and as scheduled.Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience preferred;Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of modem medicine related to public health services; general knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to public health;Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong organizational and interpersonal skills;Demonstrated ability to work effectively with men and women of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, and sexual orientations in a multicultural environmentTraining, Education and Licensure:
Current license to practice medicine within the stateBoard-Certified or Board eligibleCurrent BLS certificationTravel
Will be travelling to other clinic's sites to work or attend meetingsPhysical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, and repetitive motionsPushing and pulling objects up to 25 lbs.Frequent wrist, hand and finger dexterity to perform fine motor function without tremor.Full range of body motion including twisting body, pushing, pullingPosition requires light to moderate work with 25 lb. maximum weight to lift and carry.Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.Work Schedule
40 hours per week. Monday - Friday; 9am - 6pm. Possible Saturdays: 9am - 3pm.Working Conditions
