Description: The Shift Process Manager is a key leader in the success of our process and production in Dawson. Always committed to the Safety of our Team and Products. The SPM will manage a team of 8-10 technicians, providing hands-on development and training.
The Shift Process Manager will provide Operations with technical support, guidance, and training towards implementing and measuring benchmarks to achieve optimum plant performance. Furthermore, the Shift Process Manager shall embody the PURIS core values:

Responsibilities:Contributes to our Safety-First culture that promotes empowerment and continuous improvementDevelop a complete understanding of the equipment functionality and unit processesActively engage and work alongside Production personnel, furthering the knowledge and development of each individual, and creating a skill-based Team that is empowered to identify and correct safety and operational issuesEvaluates process upsets and utilizes problem-solving techniques to address the root causesCollaborates with the EHS, Quality and Engineering Teams to develop and implement Continuous Improvement initiativesDevelops, manages and implements Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) to promote consistent operations and remove variability between all shiftsMaintain employee work schedules, including: timecard approvals, work assignments, job rotations, training, and paid time offParticipates in vacation coverage of Production staffCollaborates with the Production Manager to develop personal goals for the Production staff and assists in continuous feedback through coaching/evaluationsChampions and adheres to all safety and GMP policies and proceduresEffectively communicates with other shifts and facility departments to ensure all hurdles are identified and resolved to increase overall process performanceThis position may be called upon to perform other duties as assignedRequirements:
Strong safety knowledge and leadershipStrong analytical skills and process orientationExperience in developing various process documentation (SOP's, work directions, etc.)Excellent leadership and management skillsDemonstrated success collaborating with others and leading process changeExcellent oral and written communications skillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred2+ years of experience in a continuous production facility, preferredExperience in food production and sanitary equipment design, preferredUnderstanding of Lean principles, preferred
