Manufacturing Engineering Manager Job Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will strategically manage the workflow of the Aerospace Engineering department, by analyzing and resolving engineering issues and collaborating with and/or giving direction to quoting, estimating, programming and machining, quality control and quality assurance.
This department will be developing new manufacturing processes for 3 and 5 axis milling of aerostructures.
Responsible for quality, efficiency and on-time completion of departmental objectives
Monitor and enforce departmental objectives
Create and enforce work schedules and assignments to ensure timely completion of departmental objectives
Direct and coordinate work tasks in a clear and productive manner
Attain the resources necessary to maintain departmental operations and provide for departmental needs
Provide suggestions for improvement to department and/or executive management
Advanced planning based on workload
Direct the completion of departmental objectives
Initiate and/or help coordinate departmental improvement plans
Define departmental objectives, standards, and performance metrics
Develop and implement departmental cost and workflow improvement initiatives
Manufacturing Engineering Manager Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering field
Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role in heavily documented and specification-centric industry
Demonstrated ability to create and follow standards and engineer solutions
Experience with Aerospace OEM specifications
Working knowledge of manufacturing and metal cutting process with an emphasis on CNC Milling
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Experience with Epicor ERP System preferred
Ability to organize, plan and prioritize workload in order to maximize production results
Knowledge of management techniques to maximize output including resource allocation & leadership
Understanding of how business administrative work flow supports and impacts the department
