Aerotek is hiring multiple MIG Welders!Job Description
We are seeking a skilled welder proficient in MIG welding to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, transitioning between welding and other fabrication duties as needed. You will work from engineering drawings and Bills of Materials to fabricate and weld components, adjusting the welder to accommodate varying thicknesses of steel. You will operate various equipment including welders, grinders, drills, hand/power tools, and measuring devices. If certified, you will also operate overhead cranes and forklifts. This role may involve working in either the Panel Welding department, which requires basic straight line welding, or the Tank Welding department, which requires vertical, horizontal, and overhead welding.ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding on various components.Multitask between welding and other fabrication duties.Work from engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.Adjust welding equipment to accommodate varying thicknesses of steel.Operate welders, grinders, drills, and a variety of hand/power tools and measuring devices.Operate overhead cranes and forklifts if certified.Perform basic straight line welding in the Panel Welding department.Perform vertical, horizontal, and overhead welding in the Tank Welding department.Ability to read blueprints.Experience in fabrication.Certification in D1-1 for Tank Welding.Ability to perform basic straight line, vertical, horizontal, and overhead welding.Additional Skills & QualificationsD1-3 certification is a bonus.Forklift operation certification is beneficial.Why Work Here?
