Job Overview Job Description:The Director of Customer & Prospect Data is the center of the universe for understanding all aspects of our customer relationships and the total addressable market to grow AT&T share. This role is responsible for the sourcing, curation, and stewardship of the data that drives the insights of the customer, spanning subscriptions, eligibilities, revenue, churn, and all attributes supporting and in between. This team builds the version of truth for sales reporting and alignment of financial metrics. This role supports the entire ABS organization and has a massive impact on the bottom line of AT&T.Role Impact:This role and team support customer and prospect data needs for all of AT&T Business.For customer data, this includes activity metrics (gross adds, net adds, migrations, churn, etc.), revenue (monthly summary, product details, bill credits, adjustments, etc.), sales channel, customer segment, product eligibility, contract status, etc.Attribution includes tenure, convergence outcomes, locations connected by entity, contract expiry timing, etc.For prospects the focus is location, eligibility, and connectivity to other locations or businesses.The knowledge and skills required to successfully manage maintain, build out, and integrate new data, as well as skill up the team and lead them to successful deployments is significant. This comment is true both due to the skillset (technical, coding, etc.) but moreso for the subject knowledge of being the true SME on how the data works and should be curated to enable the organization.Work with other teams to share best practices, teach how to leverage the available data, and take requests for what else would make data more productivePrimary Role Function:Manage analytic engineering for the Business Data Insights teamLearn, create, and maintain new data sets specific to the needs of the organization (e.g. - contract repositories, product detail tables, revenue/billing tables, customer hierarchies, location attribution)Build integrated data using the previously created core data to answer more complex questions and facilitate visualization via dashboardsDevelop and implement a platform/architecture strategy & roadmapManage request intake and ensure resources work and resolve the requests in a timely mannerHandle one off ad hoc requests to support the needs of key individualsTrain the team and teach best practices for learning, handling, and providing dataFacilitate building new data tools to provide self-service opportunities to usersDefine and document data sources via data dictionaries to simplify access and understanding by end usersPromote automation and data refinement to yield more consistent resultsWork with other organizations to share best practices, teach how to leverage the available data, and take requests for what else would make data more productiveOur Director-Technology, earns between $171,000 - $287,200.
