As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Mac systems and Supermicro hardware within our data center environments. You will work closely with the IT operations team, troubleshooting hardware and system issues, facilities, security, server, network,Merger & Acquisition, and workplace experts performing installations and upgrades, and ensuring that all systems meet performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:• Install, configure, and maintain Mac , Dell , Supermicro hardware and Network in a data center environment.• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues related to Mac systems, Supermicro servers, and associated infrastructure.• Perform regular system health checks and ensure all systems are optimized for performance.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide hands-on technical support and resolve issues in real-time.• Monitor and manage data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and networking components.• Manage hardware replacements and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and service interruption.• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, issues, resolutions, and infrastructure changes.• Assist with data center cabling, rack organization, and inventory management.• Provide input on infrastructure improvements and participate in system design discussions.• Support disaster recovery activities and respond to on-call incidents as necessary.
Qualifications:• Proven experience working with Mac systems in a data center or enterprise environment.• Expertise in Server hardware, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.• Strong knowledge of data center best practices, including server racking, cabling, and environmental monitoring.• Familiarity with networking principles, including switches, routers, and firewalls.• Ability to troubleshoot system and hardware issues quickly and effectively.• Hands-on experience with OS installation, patching, and upgrading on Mac systems.• Basic understanding of power and cooling systems in data centers.• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.• Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:.• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services.• Knowledge of data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software.• Experience with backup and disaster recovery strategies.• Strong Knowledge on H/w troubleshooting
Physical Requirements:• Ability to lift and move servers and other heavy hardware components.• Comfortable working in a data center environment with controlled temperatures and noise.
$35- $37 on w2 ( Depending on experience level)
