Cyber Security Technical Analyst at Battelle Energy Alliance dba Idaho National Labora in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Cyber Security Technical Analyst to work in our SMC Security department. Our team works a 410 schedule located out of our SMC facility with every Friday off. You will report to the senior manager over the SMC Security department. You will work with the ISSM/ISSOs and local staff. The Analyst uses expertise to analyze all security aspects of an IS and will support the daily security operations of the system. Job tasks include risk assessments for requested hardware, software, and both medical and non-medical Portable Electronic Devices. You will be asked to work with the ISSM/ISSO, and may be asked to help with incident handling and security training and awareness as it relates to the IS. Responsibilities Include: Identify cyber capabilities strategies for custom hardware and software development based on mission requirements. Conduct or support authorized penetration testing on enterprise network assets. Evaluate network infrastructure vulnerabilities to enhance capabilities being developed. Build, install, configure, and test dedicated cyber defense hardware. Help assess the impact of implementing and sustaining a dedicated cyber defense infrastructure. Conduct technology assessment and integration processes. Collaborate with others to identify appropriate solutions technology. Identify functional- and security-related features to find opportunities for new capability development to exploit or avoid vulnerabilities. Review and validate data mining and data warehousing processes, and requirements. Research current technology to understand capabilities of required system or network. Identify cyber capabilities strategies for custom hardware and software development based on mission requirements. Maintain knowledge of applicable cyber defense policies, regulations, and compliance documents specifically related to cyber defense auditing. Research current technology to understand capabilities of required system or network. Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF)/Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) requirements for dedicated cyber defense systems within the enterprise, and document and maintain records for them. This position will close: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related field technical degree, computer science, computer engineering or closely related field and 5 years of relevant experience; Masters degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or doctorate and 2 years of relevant experience. Must have, or be able to obtain within 6 months, DoD 8570.01 M - IAT/IAM Level I certification. Must be a US citizen and have the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a 'Q' clearance with appropriate sigma's and SCI clearance; which requires US Citizenship. The ideal candidate will possess: Experience working with ICS/SCADA/PIT Systems. Direct technical experience working in Enhance Security Environments Job Information: The pay range for this position is $75,804 - $155,496. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
