Senior Civil Engineer
for our Mineola, LI Office.
Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of civil engineering analysis and design tasks related to: zoning analysis, site planning, site stormwater management, utility planning and layout, parking analysis and layout, vehicle maneuvering analysis, pavement and grading designLead coordination and presentation of submissions with local utilities, municipalities, environmental agencies, and town planning boardsPerform site investigations to observe and document existing conditionsComplete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specificationsSupervise the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and lead the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering servicesProvide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projectsUtilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small site restorations to large scale new constructionEngage with existing clients and pursue new clients to support growth of the business in the region across LiRo’s service linesAssist in the preparation of technical content for proposals for engineering servicesAttend industry and business development functions as a representative of the firmMentor and develop junior engineering staff
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering7+ years’ experience in Civil EngineeringNY PE requiredAbility to provide guidance to junior level engineersUnderstanding and application of local code requirementsExperience in using various structural analysis softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask and consistently meet deadlinesAutoCAD and Civil 3D experience a requirement.Our Culture:We believe in the power of collaboration.
