Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Packaging Operator 1 to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for staging, filling, capping, labeling, and overpacking various liquid, powder, and lyophilized products in accordance with approved packaging specifications. You will ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures while completing required documentation.
Key Responsibilities:Stage, fill, cap, label, and overpack products using manual and semi-automatic methods.Follow approved packing specifications and safety protocols.Complete packaging documentation in accordance with ISO procedures.Deliver finished products to inventory.Support quality systems and procedures.Train and mentor other team members in packaging processes.Collaborate effectively within a team environment.Work Experience/Skills:
Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a chemical or packaging environment.Familiarity with mixing, labeling, and handling chemicals.Strong time management and organizational skills.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs using appropriate lifting equipment.Good vision for both close and long distances.Basic math skills and understanding.Basic data entry and computer literacy skills.Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with SAP or familiarity with similar software.Experience in ISO, pharmaceutical, or biotech environments.Safety Requirements:
Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including air helmet, mask, safety shoes, rubber aprons, Tyvek suits, protective gloves, and safety glasses/goggles.Must maintain a clean-shaven appearance daily for respirator fit.Education:
GED or High School Diploma required.
