WHO WE ARE

Franciscan Physician Network and Specialty Physicians of Illinois have 682 employed physicians, 453 advanced practitioners, and 226 clinics with more locations in development. Franciscan has strategically worked to grow the number of providers within the communities it serves and has seen a 21.5% and 45% growth rate in primary care physicians and advanced practitioners, respectively, since 2020. Franciscan's physician network consistently achieves high CMS Quality Merit Based Performance with the latest achievement scoring at 97 out of 100. Franciscan's providers also have a high net promoter score. Franciscan has 160 family practice and specialty residences and 13 fellowship programs. The practices have adopted a strong telehealth / virtual office visit practice and has centralized physician management, provider recruiting, patient engagement center, and billing/collection functions.

Franciscan is the largest home care provider in the state of Indiana serving 38 counties in Indiana and 2 large counties in Illinois with a daily census of 1,500 patients. Franciscan's home care program is a key clinical care continuum component for its strong performance in the CMS Medicare Shared Saving Program ("MSSP") and Medicare Advantage population base. Franciscan also was the first PACE provider in the state of Indiana having 4 locations in Indiana.

Franciscan Alliance ACO builds on over 40+ years of managing risk-based contracts and has approximately 168,900 lives under value based contracts. Franciscan was the only CMS Pioneer ACO in the state of Indiana and has continual strong performance under the CMS MSSP.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The CFO for Franciscan's Physician Network, Post-Acute, and Accountable Care Organization ("Divisional CFO") serves as an advisor to the senior leadership team regarding the financial management of the Division and serves as an extension of the Franciscan Alliance ("System") financial team. This role is accountable for maintaining the integrity of the Division's overall fiscal operations and financial reporting, including adherence to System and Divisional policies and procedures and assuring these policies are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles ("GAAP"), tax regulations, and existing federal and state laws. The Divisional CFO is focused on establishing the Division's long-term growth strategy, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies, and ensuring the consistent delivery of the financial performance. This position will analyze operating results, interpret patient/customer/channel/trends, and recommend initiatives to improve the Division's efficiency, profitability, and cash generation. The Divisional CFO oversees the development of short- and long-range financial plans, budgets, capital plans, and business plans for the Division that enhance and maximize the financial performance of the System. This role will support business development and market enhancement activities for the Division and System. This position will be metric focused and act as a change agent to reduce expense and operational variation through optimum analytical decision making and will assist in the development of performance improvement plans.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Participate in the development of long-range capital and strategic business plansMaintain and build successful relationships to grow top line revenue through various business development initiatives and prepare recommendations to the Division's or System's leadership teams relative to those activitiesProvide financial leadership to support various reimbursement arrangement efforts.Work with the Financial, Quality and Reimbursement and ACO leadership teams on contract negotiations and modeling of reimbursement arrangements ensuring programs are congruent with the System's overall objectivesProvide financial support to the service line leaders to include developing the capital plan and monitoring of such expenditures and return on investment; developing the annual operating budget and long-range financial forecast and ongoing monitoring to plan; facilitating the financial and operational reporting of the service line; and analyzing profitability, financial economics, contracts and arrangements, productivity of resources, performance improvement opportunities, and growth initiatives of the Division/service line and making recommendations for improvement when appropriate Participate in the development of goals for the Division and System and facilitate compliance with System standardization and centralization initiativesCommunicate business performance results to corporate and Board leadership with the use of data visualization toolsAttend Board meetings; Committees: Serve on various System committees and joint venture and other business ventures boards/committeesDirect the preparation of the annual budget for the respective division.Manage budgets and costs through the responsible use of planning and control systems, which include taking into consideration forecast levels of operations, cost-effective utilization of resources and realistic financial variances.Monitor overall financial performance of division and assigns accountability for budget management to direct reports as appropriate.QUALIFICATIONS
