The

Bridge Superintendent

is responsible for field planning and the management process of our bridge and heavy highway-related projects. This includes the ability to ensure work is well planned, executed and completed with exceptional quality while working safely and delivering projects on time and under budget. This role ensures the smooth progress of the project and represents the company in a professional manner.

Responsibilities and DutiesWork with the project manager to determine method and sequencing of construction. Plans, directs, coordinates and budgets activities.Manage day-to-day activities and prepare daily electronic field logs.Manage multiple tasks, crews and projects as well as be able to handle changes in project priority based on resource availability.Develop and maintain good working relationships with owner, subcontractors, and vendors.Communicate and promote safe working environment and company safety standards, with strong knowledge of OSHA regs in regard to crane and bridge construction.Must be able to read plans and have a strong knowledge of various DOT specifications and standards. Superintendent will inspect work in progress to ensure quality workmanship that conforms to contract specifications and standards.Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in road, bridge, concrete construction, asphalt paving and/or related projectsMinimum of 2 years of experience in a foreman-level or similar supervisory roleStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry requirementsAbility to take on challenges, adapt to changing conditions, and manage multiple priorities without direct supervisionCOMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
