Job Description
Carboline is seeking a
Supply Chain Intern
to work in
Saint Louis, MO, Head Quarters
location This intern will get the opportunity to work hands-on with the Corporate Transportation team to gain experience and knowledge in booking and scheduling loads, interacting with freight carriers, and being part of day-to-day meetings to understand how a transportation/supply chain department operates.
Requirements:This is a paid internship where we are seeking someone who can work 30 - 40 hours per week from May through August. Majoring Business Administration, Operations, logistics, or Supply Chain Managment.
Essential Functions:Can update and communicate daily shipping schedules with operations leadership, including orders that could be at riskCoordinate special, last-minute shipping requests and schedule pick-up orders with the distribution leadership teamGenerate, maintain, and organize all related paperwork, work instructions, and necessary information required for customer orders in order to sustain appropriate files and process details for each accountMonitor shipments for customer response to routing requests and develop and utilize reporting tools to monitor customer orders and shipmentsPerform additional duties as assignedCommit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
