You will be asked to use QuickBooks Online to perform Accrual Basis accounting. You will need to follow our month-end close process and prepare financial statements for our clients.
DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performing accounting functions within QuickBooks OnlineAbility to determine effect of accounting transactions based on an Accrual or Cash BasisPrepare the initial draft of monthly financial statementsLead the month end close processMaintain supporting Balance Sheet schedules, for example: Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, Fixed Asset Schedule, Payroll liability reconciliationsPrepare and record month end journal entriesCompete the full cycle duties for A/R and A/PPrepare and review payrollPrepare and review Sales TaxPrimary communicator with clientsReviewing team member's work; support Controller in coaching and training less experienced team membersSetting up new technology integrations and troubleshoot any issuesPartnering with a variety of vendors and platforms to complete accounting operations (e.g. expense management software, payroll providers, etc)SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with multiple clients / entities (>5), across a variety of industries to deliver bookkeeping or accounting services4+ years bookkeeping or accounting experienceAn Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; or bookkeeping certificationProficiency working in QuickBooks OnlineProficient with accrual accounting, consolidated financial statements, revenue recognition, and executing the month end close processAnalytical thinker that is skilled in creative problem solving and using independent judgmentExceptional attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and finish projects within a specified timeframeEnjoys engaging with clientsHigh level of comfort with leveraging tools and technology to collaborate with remote team membersReside within one of the following states: Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Minnesota
