Job Summary
The Information Security Manager, reporting to the Director II of Information Technology Services, plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the District's information assets. The position is responsible for implementing and maintaining robust information security programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of security awareness.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Certifications:1. Certification from the International Information System Security Consortium, Inc. ((ISC)²) in one of the following:a. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)b. Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)c. Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)2. Experience Required:1. Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience at the enterprise level in Information Systems or Technology, with a focus on information security.2. Proven experience in information security, vulnerability management, and incident response.3. Experience in a technology K-12 environment is highly desirable.4. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures and protocols.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required: Valid CA Driver's License and evidence of insurability; Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance; Negative pre-employment drug screen test; Negative TB results.
