Materials Manager
to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee material handlers and warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient management of raw materials and components essential for production. You'll apply lean techniques to enhance all material stores and warehousing functions, both internally and externally, including shipping and receiving responsibilities.

How you'll make an impact:Coordinate activities with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, planning, and quality departments to resolve material shortagesDevelop cost reduction strategies and savings plans for materials and warehouse inventoryShould drive process improvements throughout the materials organization and lead Kaizens as needed to eliminate waste and improve processesEnsure that long range decisions are made in time to affect the desired outcomes for customer satisfactionDevelop and implement materials management instructions, policies, and procedures material delivery methodsWork closely with Quality and Engineers to perform tests on raw materials or finished products to ensure their quality at receivingLead and manage the warehouse staff, including training, providing feedback, resolving conflicts, and ensure timely deliveries and meeting deadlines,Implement safety protocols for the materials management processCommunicate data points clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writingLiving Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your Background:
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of operations and/or materials management, supply chain, or production supervisory experienceCandidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.APICS certification preferredProficiency in SAP preferredWhat we Offer
