William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is in search of a Project Manager to support our traffic & transportation group. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing construction projects from pre-construction to completion, while ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget.

MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.Responsibilities:

Partner with safety to ensure safety programs are established and executedFinancial monitoring and reporting including cost monitoring, cost and revenue projections, change order logs, under/overbilling reports, invoicing, vendor and subcontractor invoicing review and approvalWork with project superintendents to identity applicable equipment types, personnel skill sets, means, methods, and schedule as requiredManage and update receiving and yield reportsMaintain cost accounting, schedule impacts, fully authorized change order logs, and communication logsSubmit monthly cost to complete projectionsWeekly quantities reported and complied in ViewPointKeep change order log up to dateSubcontract committed costs trackingEstimating review to understand strategies, risks, and opportunitiesPre-construction planning with project teamReview and procure any permits or licensing requiredSub-contractor scope and schedule reviewProject documentation including submittals, RFI’s, meeting minutes, work plansProject closeout including final documentation, invoicing, retainage releaseBuilding relationships in local marketplacesInteraction with project team, business leaders, and managementOther duties as assignedQualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred)At least 5 years industry experience, overseeing multiple projects simultaneouslyA combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities5+ years of experience working on traffic electrical infrastructure projectsPrevious experience with Procore, Build2Win, and/or P6 a plusAbility to read and understand of contractsStrong analytical skillsDetail oriented and good organization skillsAbility to communicate well with others, both written and orallyProficient in Computer applications such as Microsoft and time reporting systemsFunctional knowledge of job cost accountingThorough understanding of CPM schedulingSome travel may be required
