Job Description
The Network Administrator will play an important role in overseeing various technical administrative responsibilities within the organization. This position will be primarily responsible for maintaining a variety of industry leading network monitoring and management tools and utilities. This position will also provide on-site data center technical operations, such wiring, device installations, physical connectivity, and other support initiatives. The individual filling this role will interact and coordinate with internal client teams to enable improved awareness and visibility into the status and performance of network, server, and cloud infrastructure. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing hands-on network and infrastructure support tasks in the Philadelphia metro area. The Network Administrator will address technical needs and maintain vigilance over system availability. The candidate filling this role will function as an escalation path for support of technology-related issues and will support the Infrastructure Services team including rotating on-call schedule. This is an on-site position.
Job ResponsibilitiesSystem Availability Monitoring: Manage and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to track and ensure the availability and performance of critical systems, promptly addressing and/or escalating any issues that may arise. Maintain Configuration Management DatabasesAvailability Dashboard Implementation: Design and create custom monitoring and alerting dashboards to provide relevant valuable information to internal and external client teamsSoftware Updates and Patch Management: Support and contribute to the implementation of automated network infrastructure update and patch management to ensure network equipment and software are up to date with the latest patches and updates to address security vulnerabilities and enhance performance.Data Center Technical Operations: Coordinate and execute activities related to data center operations, including wiring, device installation, and managing physical connectivity to support the organization's IT infrastructure.On-Site Technical Support: Address escalated on-site technical support initiatives, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical assistance as needed to maintain uninterrupted IT services.Network Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory.User Support: Act as an escalation path for technical support to end-users, addressing network-related concerns and troubleshooting connectivity problems.Other Duties as assigned: Perform other required server, network, application support tasks as required or requested by the business.Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experiences working in an advanced network management and support roleBachelor's degree or related experienceKnowledge of and advanced experience with industry-leading network management andmonitoring tools and CMDB technologiesAbility to learn quickly, absorb and understand new things quicklyKnowledge of ITSM Processes & Service Desk ToolsKnowledge of and experience supporting data center, server room, network closet, operations.Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skillsGood organizational and time-management skillsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to understand and follow documentation, repeat existing processes and create new documentationAbility to work effectively in a team and individually with minimal supervision
