Security Services for Hurricane Emergencies

Martinez and Company Emergency Response Security units—staffed by highly trained officers—are prepared for rapid deployment to m onitor assigned Impact Areas

in the event of a natural disaster .

Martinez and Company Security is looking for exceptional people to join its Disaster Relief efforts. We are looking for self-motivated and passionate individuals to join the Martinez and Company On-Call Disaster Response Team to provide immediate and possible long-term relief in areas affected by natural disasters. This position will support and assist in making our communities more resilient through the delivery of responding to local hurricane emergency shelters and industrial infrastructures.

Possible jobs sites include shelters, commercial, and industrial locations based on

the response to facilities affected by natural disasters.

Martinez and Company is seeking currently licensed Florida Security Officers to serve as Independent Contractors for temporary assignments and heightened security alerts. Seeking highly professional trained Armed “G” License Officers for security access duties. Selected Security Officers must be highly reliable, able to follow directions, and capable of exercising good judgment. These positions are in support of Emergency Operations for Hillsborough and Manatee County. The location of the post is within the local Tampa Area. Shifts are 12hrs (0700-1900 or 1900-0700).

At a minimum, all applicants MUST HAVE BOTH Security Licenses:

State of Florida Class "D" Unarmed Security License

2. State of Florida

Class "G" Armed Security License

ON-CALL RESPONSE OFFICER

RESPONSIBILITIES

: Will include ,

to be on-call

for immediate

reporting for 24/7 coverage, which may include weekend and evening commitments. All members will be expected to participate in off-hours assignments. In addition, members of the Disaster Response

Team may

be required to deploy for extended periods based on needs within the State of Florida to support functional areas of the disaster cycle to meet the needs of the territory, region, state and division.

Selected Security Officers will be assigned to various job sites within 2 hours/250 miles of Tampa, Florida and/or to our client job site in the following cities,

FLORIDA locations: HILLSBOROUGH AND MANATEE . Officers will be required to respond to various job sites based on the needs of the company and clients. Officers are required to be on call when listed as available and have response times not to exceed eight (8) hours.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be ready, willing, and able to report to ANY site assignment on short notice despite disaster or inclement weather and able to promptly respond to any site anytime, day or night, in response to emergency, disaster and/or exigent circumstances, and/or for scheduled meetings.

Willing to work 12 hour and overtime shifts, as reasonably required.

Effectively solve problems and coordinate emergency responses. Responds to emergency situations or security threats in a professional manner, following established procedures.

Follow and provide instructions consistent with Martinez and Company policies and procedures.

Flexible scheduling availability for swing and grave shift, any day of the week.

Must meet the following Minimum Qualifications and Education

( Minimum Qualifications MUST be attained before the recruitment start date. ):

Completion of an approved State of Florida 40 hr. unarmed and/or 28 hr. armed security officer course and in possession of an approved Class "D" & "G" license.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Graduation from High School or possession of a GED Certificate.

Valid driver's license and clean driving history.

Minimum one (1) year work experience.

Possess reliable Transportation to various job sites.

Ability to work well in groups and individually with little or no managerial oversight. Self-motivated and resourceful. Able to prioritize and accomplish job related goals and tasks with minimal or no direction.

Team Player mentality. Ability to place the needs of the many over one's own.

Strong Reading and Writing Skills: Ability to read and interpret complex instructions and procedures; including SOPs, post orders, statutes, and regulations. Ability to implement intricate post orders and complete detailed reports with minimal deviation and zero error.

Preferred Skills:

CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain.

Drug-free workplace: we have implemented a drug-free workplace. All offers of contracting are conditioned on applicants successfully passing a drug test.

Prior military/law enforcement preference

Ideal preferred candidates will have experience supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

and First Aid/CPR Certification.
