As a Datacenter DRAM Customer Engineer at Micron, you will be part of a high integrity, outstanding customer engineering team responsible for serving as a primary technical contact for datacenter customers and encouraging Micron and our customers to deliver outstanding products and solutions while improving revenue.

Role and Responsibilities:

Work to attain design wins and qualifications of Micron DRAM and other Compute focused products in customer applications.

Work closely with Sales and other teams to develop and implement a strategic plan & supervise progress to key objectives

Solve customers’ systems configuration and setup challenges

Work with and drive internal marketing and development teams to determine the feasibility of specific new products, packaging or features and ensuring customer specifications are met.

Work with customers to determine the best memory footprint and best system configuration for the specific target application in the Compute/Cloud space.

Identify and communicate customer focused collateral (e.g., product guides, cross references, advertisements, etc.).

Work with customers to handle and solve issues during qualification, manufacturing, and field deployment.

Provide Training to Customers, Sales, and internal team members on key technical topics.

Coordinate lab-related activities that support the design-in/validation process, including schematic/board layout reviews, design validation and system level testing

Qualifications:

Design, product, test, support, system, or applications engineering experience in DRAM and/or Compute system design. (at least 5 years of experience)

Systems experience, which could include:

Data Center Server Management

Server Logging and Management such as BMC, EMC, EDAC, etc.

Server Systems hardware architecture, design, test and troubleshooting

DRAM Memory usage in Server systems

DRAM Memory interface knowledge

BIOS DRAM Memory training and error reporting/management

Ability to demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills including lab testing (oscilloscope and logic analyzer usage) and debug

Self-motivated, take initiative, and to work independently or in a team environment.

The ability to work with engineers across multiple disciplines, as well as customers of various positions including executive level interaction.

Excellent PC usage skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Quality and Reliability experience is a plus.

Excellent verbal, written, and customer communications skills.

Flexibility to travel as required.

Education:

Bachelors or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$153,000.00 - $310,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
