The Senior Manager, Compensation, develops, implements, and administers compensation such as salaries, short- and long-term incentives, job evaluations, performance appraisals, salary increases, and salary surveys. May provide services in Executive Compensation, Corporate Compensation, Sales Compensation, and other specialized areas of compensation. You will report to the Total Rewards Director in this role.Position Compensation Range:$109,000.00 - $186,000.00Pay Rate Type:SalaryCompensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.Primary Accountabilities:Create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and encouraging trust, transparency, and inclusion. Work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support ongoing development.Lead with influence and expertise. Contribute to division or department leadership team. Communicate and support organization mission, vision, values, and practices.Oversee the development of a comprehensive employee compensation program, ensuring understanding of each business's goals, overall organization values, and balancing market conditions, internal equity, and long-term vision.Monitor trending information, economic and wage projections to ensure the organization’s compensation goals and competitive market position are responsive to our needs.Develop and implement procedures and guidelines to ensure programs are internally equitable and competitive in the market.Establish a job structure for positions to include accurate job definition, internal valuing process, and market data for benchmarking pay.Monitor and understand the competitive landscape concerning compensation practices and advise leadership. Work with internal division leaders to address important issues.Monitor the effectiveness of compensation procedures and recommend revisions/enhancements which are consistent with compensation trends/best practices and goals.Manage the annual salary and incentive planning process for employees; ensure accuracy, optimum level of automation, and teamwork with all internal partners.Ensure that compensation programs and administration meet legal requirements. Keep informed of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.Oversee compensation offerings for the company’s Board of Directors.Specialized Skills Requirements:Demonstrated experience providing customer-focused solutions or service.Demonstrated experience balancing strategy with analytical skills across a variety of programs and partners.Demonstrated experience counseling and consulting to guide strategic decisions across multiple levels of management.Demonstrated experience managing a compensation program in a diverse multi-department organization.Demonstrated leadership experience, including people or project management.Extensive knowledge of compensation concepts including compliance with state and federal laws.Licenses:Not applicable.Travel Requirements:Up to 20%.Physical Requirements:Work that involves sitting/standing.Working Conditions:Not applicable.In this flex office/home role, you will work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110.We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all of the requirements listed above.
