Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager of Infection Control, the Infection Control Coordinator, evaluates the quality of patient care and patient outcomes as they relate to healthcare-associated infections; collects, prepares and analyzes healthcare associated infections data and makes recommendations for actions, monitors employee compliance in the use of barriers and infection prevention measures; prepares and presents educational offerings for staff; serves as a resource to all department and personnel; implements programs to protect the healthcare workers, visitors, and others in the healthcare environment, provides internal and external reporting of information and data; promotes compliance with regulations, guidelines, and accreditation requirements.
Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:
Education: Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience :
Certification/Licensure: Certification in Infection Control and Prevention (CIC) desired. Professional membership in APIC
