We’re seeking a professional and experienced Lead Painter. You’ll be in charge of supervising project crews as they paint the interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and structures. Proper painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits, making your job crucial. A good painter understands how to choose the proper material for the job and has experience with a variety of instruments and at various heights and spaces while adhering to all safety precautions. They must be dependable, deft, and pay close attention to detail when carrying out their responsibilities.
The objective is to provide high-quality painting services.
Responsibilities of the Job:
Supervise the crew
Prepare the job site by erecting scaffolding and covering fittings
Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and removing existing paint
Use the right substance to fill gaps and holes
Purchase paint and other supplies
Prepare the proper color or texture by mixing paint and other materials
Paint walls according to directions using various tools
Apply paint and other finishes as necessary
Make cost estimates
Take all appropriate safety precautions and implement procedures
Skills / Qualifications:
Proven painting experience
Thorough understanding of painting materials, including how to choose, mix, and apply them
Understanding of both commercial and residential painting procedures
Knowledge of how to use the right tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.)
Reliable and conscientious, with a keen eye for detail
Ladder climbing ability
Capacity to transport heavy equipment (including painting tools and heavy buckets of paint)
The ability to stand for extended periods of time
Excellent ability to follow instructions
Exceptional imaginative ability
Salary: $25 – $30 per hour
