The Heroku Marketing team seeks a passionate and results-driven person for our Digital Marketing - Social Media position, to develop and execute a strategic social media program that drives market awareness, engagement, and demand for Heroku's solutions. This role will oversee multi-channel initiatives, producing impactful content and fostering community relationships across platforms, focusing on engaging IT and developer-focused audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
Design, build, and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Heroku's business objectives and marketing campaigns.
Content Creation:
Produce engaging, informative, and on-brand content tailored to each platform (Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, developer-focused communities).
Campaign Management:
Plan, execute, and measure social media campaigns, conversion tests, and experiments to optimize performance against established goals.
Performance Tracking:
Monitor social media metrics, analyze trends, and report on campaign performance, using insights to continuously improve reach and engagement.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with content, product marketing, and developer relations teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective promotion of Heroku's offerings.
Community Building:
Build and nurture relationships with influencers, developers, and partners to broaden Heroku's network and amplify its message.
Trend Monitoring:
Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to enhance our social presence.
Broader Marketing Support:
Contribute to content marketing efforts (e.g., blog posts, email newsletters) and event marketing activities, both virtual and in-person.
Requirements:
Experience:
3+ years of proven experience in B2B social media marketing, ideally within the tech industry or a developer-focused role.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking, with an ability to evaluate the end-to-end user experience across channels.
Platform Knowledge:
Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.
Content Creation Skills:
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to tailor content to resonate with technical audiences.
Design Proficiency:
Basic skills in design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite are a plus.
Adaptability:
Strategic thinker who can execute tactically and adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Compensation:For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $132,800 to $182,600.
For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $121,800 to $167,400.
For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $132,800 to $182,600.
