VP of Strategic SourcingResponsibilitiesLeads all strategic sourcing strategy and execution across Pregis for the following categories:

Capital EquipmentSystems Parts - PCBAs, Motors, Injection Molding, Metal Fab, etc.Energy - Electricity and Natural Gas UtilitiesReal Estate LeasesFacilities Management

Procurement Category Strategy Development and Execution

Develop category strategies based on pricing, supplier performance, supply and demand forecasts, and business needs - and identify opportunities to optimize spend, increase value and drive sustainability goalsExecute sourcing strategy and implement across the businesses in collaboration with business unit teamsTrack savings, monitor supplier performance and adjust strategy as needed

Internal Stakeholder Influence and Alignment

Understand key Pregis stakeholders' goals, business needs, priorities, and expectations as it relates to procurement categoriesCommunicate clearly and consistently on how procurement can help them meet their business goals.Build relationships and influence across the business to collaboratively drive category savings programs

Vendor Management

Build long-term relationships with Pregis' strategic suppliers and focus on value creationDevelop supplier collaboration, innovation, and customization as these are critical for achieving Pregis' business goalsMaintain ownership of key supplier relationships and activities, both strategic and tactical, through the entire lifecycle of company projects, from initial sourcing through development, tooling and industrialization phases as well as product launch and ongoing business management

Negotiation

Lead negotiations for assigned categories to lower costs, increase value, enhance terms, improve quality and service, reduce riskNegotiate agreements that are mutually beneficial ensures longer-term, more productive partnerships, that drive Pregis' success

Communication

Clearly articulate procurement strategies to key internal stakeholders to gain their buy-inTransparent, straightforward and clear communication to Pregis' vendors to ensure they understand Pregis' goals and objectives and where they stand as a supplier

Project Management

Effectively manage the sourcing process with vendorsWhere we make vendor or materials changes across the business, develop and execute projects in collaboration with the business to manage and drive transitions effectively

Category Subject Matter Expertise

Thorough understanding of the nuances of the products and services in your categoriesStrong knowledge of what drives cost. Knowing what may constrain supplier capacity.Knowing the technical details necessary to ensure the optimum quality of delivered goods and performed services

Procurement Team Leadership

Lead and develop one direct reportPositively influence other procurement team members, participate in building the culture, and encouraging others to succeedEnhance and streamline procurement policies, procedures, systems and reporting

QualificationsBachelor's degree in technical, supply chain or finance discipline, MBA preferred5-8 years of experience as a purchasing or commodity manager supporting capital equipment purchases AND integration of the equipmentProduct launch experience, the candidate must be one that will actively work with the supplier and manufacturing as the equipment is built, tested, and installed.Experience working closely with engineers and operations leader.Team development and demonstrated leadership in supply chain organizationsStrong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilitiesProficient in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, ERP systems (SAP is a plus)Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectivelyStrong capability to influence across organizations and build alignmentStrategic thinking, analytical skill, ability to communicate and articulate strategy clearly with built consensusDiversity and InclusionWe believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to Pregis.
