Join Macquarie’s Commodity Trading Team as a Vice President, within our Physical Commodity Business Development/Origination team in Houston.

What role will you play?
In this role, you will drive the management, development and promotion of physical commodity opportunities, based on deep analysis and understanding of the dynamics of the market. Your focus will be originating and managing Macquarie’s role in supporting upstream, midstream and downstream physical solutions across logistics modes (vessels, barges, rail, blending) for assets across the Americas, actively coordinating with the trading books and offices worldwide.
Your primary function will be to originate and commercialize client-driven and trader-specific physical commodity solutions across heavy crude oil, light sweet crude oil, condensate, products (gasoline, jet, diesel) and NGLs (C2+, C3+)/spec products (ethane, propane, butane, condensate)), and low carbon/green energy to maximize risk-adjusted returns and optionality for Macquarie’s physical commodity trading business.
What You Offer
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Crude/Products/NGL/Green Energy trading and/or originationStrong understanding of North American energy infrastructure, and experience with contract negotiations in rail, pipelines, terminals and fractionation plantsDeep local knowledge within each of the targeted jurisdictions, including regulatory requirementsDeveloped industry relationships, and demonstrated success in delivering client solutions in physical energy marketsAbility to lead negotiations with third party providers, including contract drafting and deal life cycle risk assessment (economic modeling, PowerPoint)Knowledge of upstream, midstream and refinery processes.
