As
Legal Counsel , you will manage and mentor a small team, providing guidance and support. You will lead the commercial legal process at Kepler, including managing the drafting and negotiation of agreements. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and implementing privacy programs and policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
What You Will Do
Manage and mentor a small team of legal professionals, providing guidance, support, and oversight to ensure high-quality work and professional development.Review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.Serve as the primary lead for comprehensive reviews of privacy and data processing agreements.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement robust privacy programs and initiatives.Assist in the development and maintenance of the company's privacy policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulations.Stay updated on emerging privacy trends, technologies, and regulatory developments, and proactively advise senior management on potential impacts and mitigation strategies.Support the legal team on additional projects as needed.Ability to work in a hybrid environment requiring you to be onsite 3x per week (Tuesday - Thursday).Desired Skills And Experience
JD from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of NY or qualified in the UK.Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in digital media, advertising, marketing-related data privacy, or IT services agreements.Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and privacy agreements with meticulous attention to detail.Deep understanding of global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant frameworks.Experience in building and implementing privacy programs and advising on commercial transactions and regulatory compliance.Ability to engage productively with senior internal and external executives and collaborate with multifunctional teams.Aptitude for quickly learning and providing counsel on emerging technologies, regulations, and new business models.Excellent listening, presentation, and written/verbal communication skills.Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex legal issues and solutions.Total Compensation
Base Salary: $175,000.Target Annualized Discretionary Bonus: 15% ($26,250).Target Total Cash: $201,250.Benefits
