Position Summary:
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing - Marketing Technology based in our Westport, CT headquarters.
You will be key member of our Center of Excellence, helping our clients manage their marketing solutions portfolio in disciplines including by not limited to marketing technology, advertising technology, analytics, marketing data, market research and media.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience working within a Marketing organization - either in a management capacity or as a high-performing independent contributor. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable shifting between strategic planning and tactical execution which collectively, enables our Clients to achieive their desired business outcomes. The ideal candidate will be proficient in identifying technology solutions which help our clients transform their organizations, and is capable of developing and executing RFPs in support of large-scale sourcing and procurement projects. You will have extensive experience in identifying, engaging and negotiating deals with some of the largest technology solutions providers operating within the Marketing ecoysystem. You will work directly with our clients’ marketing teams at all levels up to the C-suite. This role reports to the Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing - Marketing Technology.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
Coordinating sourcing strategies on behalf of clients for marketing services categories including marketing technology and analytics, marketing data, market research, digital marketing technology, and search technology (paid search/SEM and organic/SEO, including local listings optimization)
Utilize your deep experience within B2B and B2C Marketing to provide key insights and subject matter expertise to both external clients and internal departments spanning the entire client relationship lifecycle
Analyze client spend and procurement processes to identify opportunities to optimize efficiency, process compliance, quality and cost
Manage and effectively deliver multiple projects on time and with the appropriate results
Build, manage and execute large-scale and multi-client RFPs through LSI’s sourcing software
Lead client discovery sessions. Review business requirements, user stories and other
documentation which is necessary to support the technology sourcing strategy
Negotiate the best service and pricing options for our clients that will help lead to the desired business outcomes
Counsel internal and client stakeholders on value engineering to drive cost containment and savings
Ensure strategies can be executed in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures
Continuously expand your expertise of the vendor ecosystem by maintaining in-depth knowledge of and relationships with the national vendor marketplace in the marketing services categories
Advise client teams on vendor performance, strategic alliances and opportunities to leverage total spend under management
Maintain a supplier management structure and process to vet, on-board, monitor and audit suppliers
Support onsite teams in resolving vendor issues as necessary
Identify and share technical best practices across various client engagements
Providing first-rate customer service to ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree plus 12-15 years’ experience within Marketing required
Demonstrated experience in working across various marketing services categories, preferably within the services industry - technology, customer acquisition & retention, digital engagement, website development and management, loyalty, creative, analytics and customer experience management
Solid expertise in working with and managing the performance of agencies who managed outsourced functions such as software development, technology implementation, email marketing, digital analytics and search (paid, organic)
Leverage your prior experience as a business leader to ensure LSI secures the most competitive deal terms on behalf of our clients
Demonstrated success in managing vendors, negotiating RFPs/RFIs and managing high-value contracts
Strong organizational and project management skills to ensure on-time delivery
Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple high-priority projects at once
Experience with e-sourcing software in a marketing environment is preferred
Strong communication skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with vendors, and stakeholders at all levels through the organization (both client and LSI)
Entrepreneurial aptitude with a commitment to client service
Ability to deliver on client expectations; successful at influencing others
Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work
Analytically adept with the ability to interpret complex data for informed decision-making and to assess results
Travel
This position travel could be minimal or up to 15% of the time.
