Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will help design and develop rocket engines and propulsion systems that meet Blue Origin's launch vehicle program requirements for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the structural analysis work of a rocket engine program and be subject matter expert for the discipline. Tasks will include providing guidance to design and structural analysis engineers to improve the performance of designs and developing Component Finite Element Models (FEM) based on interaction with the design and engine system analysis team. You will also perform classic hand calculations and FEM Simulations of rocket engine hardware including turbomachinery, manifolds, and thrust chambers, and use structural analysis methods to support test and failure investigations. Additional responsibilities include communicating analysis results to the team, peer review of analysis reports and overseeing junior engineers and contractors. You will be expected to drive or own process development of major portions of the discipline.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
