In this role as
Senior Data Scientist , you will be using ML and artificial intelligence to drive enterprise-wide innovation across various business lines and Guardian products. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams of other Data Science, Data Engineering, and Business groups. Successful candidates have a strong technical foundation, excel in coding, are detail-oriented, and have a passion for analytical thinking and problem-solving.
You Will:
Analyze large, complex datasets to extract insights and decide on the appropriate techniques to uncover patterns and trends.Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms; combine models through ensemble modeling.Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis.Propose innovative ways to look at problems through using data mining and data visualization.Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.Present information using data visualization techniques; communicate results and ideas to key decision makers.Ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and reporting.Perform regular data quality control, prepare and maintain reports, and troubleshoot data anomalies.Attend industry conferences to stay current on industry trends, challenges, and potential market opportunities.
You are:
You are passionate about cutting-edge technology and keen on applying new AI/ML algorithms and approaches. You are analytically driven, intellectually curious, and experienced leading the development and implementation of data and analytic solutions to solve challenging business problems.
You have:
PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.At least 2 years of experience working as a Data Scientist.Basic experience in data analysis and statistical modeling.Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree, bagging/boosting, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.Experience with data science toolkits, such as Python or R.Hands-on experience with GPU, distributed computing, and applying parallelism to ML solutions.Knowledge of data management tools including SQL, Hadoop, or similar technologies.Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.Effective communication skills to work with partners to identify business questions and work through their data to search for answers.Ability to tell meaningful stories with data and explain complex solutions in a simple way.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse technologies and techniques.
Location:
Two days a week at our Guardian office in New York, NY; 3 days a week remote.
Salary Range:
$78,230.00 - $117,342.50. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
