Spectrix Analytical Services is looking for a highly experienced Senior Mass Spec Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep expertise in mass spectrometry and chromatography applications. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our mass spectrometry products and services, while contributing to innovative research and development projects.

Responsibilities:
Installation & Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain mass spectrometer systems with a focus on liquid chromatography at customer sites.
Perform regular preventive maintenance and calibrations to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
Technical Support:
Provide expert troubleshooting and repair services for HPLC, UPLC, SFC, and GCMS systems.
Address customer inquiries and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
Training & Guidance:
Conduct training sessions for customers on the proper use and maintenance of LCMS systems.
Develop and update training materials to enhance user understanding.
Collaboration:
Participate in cross-functional projects to drive improvements in service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports and customer feedback.
Prepare detailed documentation and reports on service, system performance, and best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and advancements in mass spectrometry analysis.
Contribute to the development of service processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mass spectrometry, with a focus on liquid chromatography.
Proven experience with various mass spectrometry techniques, including GC-MS, LC-MS, and MS/MS from major OEMs (Waters, Agilent, Shimadzu, etc.).
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
Proficiency in mass spectrometry software and data analysis tools.
Other:
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support and training.

$32.00 - $50.00 per hour
