Job Description
Norfolk Southern Corporation is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Manager to support and execute our enterprise-wide technology resiliency program. This pivotal role provides strategic oversight to the technology resiliency governance framework and program execution. In this role, you will innovate and partner across the enterprise to define the resiliency governance framework and program. You will ensure successful execution of the governance model and IT deliverables for the resiliency program.
Responsibilities
Develops strategic and operational plans to drive successful implementation of the technology Resiliency Program and governance framework.
Manages the execution of the technology Resiliency Program and governance framework.
Drives results by aligning with key stakeholders including within IT, business teams, Audit, Compliance, Risk, and Information Security.
Identifies and assesses risks and exposures across IT.
Prepares, communicates, and educates on changes in policies, best practices within the organization.
Demonstrates strategic thinking with forethought and innovation that translates to a plan based on priorities and resources.
Analyzes systems, dependent business functions, processes to identify risks, points of failure, vulnerabilities and develops risk mitigation strategies.
Identifies areas of potential loss or damage and quantifies impact.
Implements and evaluates compliance with business risk reduction policies, standards, and procedures.
Partners with Information Security to mature the overall BC/DR program as part of the Resiliency and governance framework.
Identifies, communicates, and owns metrics at all organizational levels to measure overall resiliency maturity.
Manages strategic planning, data gathering, and completion of risk assessments for IT.
Identifies mitigation techniques to sustain critical business operations for the company.
Provides overall program leadership, guidance, and manages all aspects of the Resiliency program that includes planning, requirements definition, business case and implementation.
Communicates program goals and scope to all program team members and ensure clear expectations of each project and/or workstream.
Ensures coordination across multiple projects and/or workstreams and ensure the scope of the projects within the program align with program goals and business priorities.
Manages all program budget activities in compliance with standards.
Manages initiatives effectively in fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work across organizations.
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, business, management, information systems, engineering or related field is required.
Skills Required
5+ years experience running IT Resiliency programs within fortune 500+ companies.
Business operational risk resiliency with hands-on technical expertise in governance, ITIL, continuous availability, BC/DR, and third-party supplier risk.
5+ years hands-on experience as Program Manager and Project Manager within PMO environment.
10+ years’ experience in a software development environment.
5+ years’ experience using Agile, SAFe and Lean practices.
Program experience with reporting and dashboard creation with PowerBI, SpotFire or similar.
Experience with PPM tools such as OnePlan, Jira, or Jira Align.
PMP, PgMP, Agile, Agile Coaching, SAFe certifications.

Environment: Hybrid 3-days on-site and 2-days remote work per week
