General Description:
Manage and coordinate all service activities for commercial lines clients $5,000 in revenue or below. Serve as primary contact, responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships. Understand and execute marketing, analyze options, present recommendations, and implement insurance programs. Maintain 92% or above retention on assigned book of business.
Responsibilities:Accountable for the client relationship, account retention, and developing a comprehensive and competitive insurance program.Work independently to inform and educate clients on policy changes, exclusions, insurance coverages, and insurance industry trends.Respond to client and insurance carrier requests within agreed upon timeframes.Manage renewal workflow for assigned book of business, avoiding any lapse in coverage.Negotiate renewal and/or new line of coverage with knowledge of carrier underwriting guidelines.Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance, as needed.Assist clients with claims reporting.Adhere to company’s credit and collection policy in invoicing and pursuing prompt payments. Request cancellations in accordance with company standards.Manage client account in accordance with USI guidelines and key performance indicators.Keep current on industry information, technology, and trends.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:2 years of experience in a Commercial Property & Casualty insurance agency.College degree preferred.Must hold or be willing to earn Property and Casualty insurance license.Hold an industry designation or be willing to further industry knowledge through courses.Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include walking, sitting, standing, and bending.
