Viridian Staffing's Client is looking for an inspiring people manager to join as Head of Sales in the New Mexico market to lead a motivated team of Sales Account Executives for a fast-paced Cannabis company. This position can be based anywhere in the State of New Mexico, but frequent travel will be required throughout the State and a preference will be given to candidates in the Albuquerque or Las Cruces areas.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing (www.viridianstaffing.com) is the Original Talent Acquisition & Talent Management Firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.

Ideally, you'll be bringing with you a cannabis book of business to grow the number of retailers carrying the product throughout the State, while growing sales volume at existing stores, and/or to grow our Client's wholesale business; however what is most important is that you've managed a team of Sales Account Executives, and are known for your ability to grow and develop their skill set even further. You have experience training and developing incentive plans for sales teams. You're known for your exceptional customer service, negotiation skills, have the ability to close sales using your proven communication skills, have the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and are able to help train all of your direct reports on how to execute these skills like you do. You'll have the opportunity to utilize your expert level knowledge of the company's brand to elevate the brand's community profile. If you have proven success in driving growth in Cannabis companies, are great at establishing credibility & rapport with clients, and building professional relationships, then this could be the right role for you.

Required Qualifications:

Valid driver's license and ability to drive a delivery van

5+ years of experience as a Sales Professional

2+ years of experience leading a geographically dispersed Sales Team; 1+ year of experience in cannabis industry sales leadership

Proven experience motivating sales teams to exceed revenue targets

Microsoft Office (including Excel) or Google suite experience (including sheets, Drive and Calendar)

Understanding of and passion to learn the variables found across different cannabis products (Distillate & CO2, Indoor & Outdoor, CBD/THC/Terpenes, etc.)

Exceptional Client Relationship building and written/verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

In depth understanding of New Mexico Cannabis compliance laws for the cannabis industry
