As a Product Program Director, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of the Allianz Life go-to-market activities for a new business line focused on in-plan solutions. In this role you will be responsible for the onboarding of new partner relationships and ensuring that functional teams are strategically aligned in these efforts supporting our strategic business objectives. You will also mentor and coach others to drive business outcomes. You will lead and collaborate across business functions, anticipate and resolve impediments, and drive stakeholder alignment is critical for role. The Product Program Director role has a direct impact on execution of the company’s goals and serving our customers. You will report to the Senior Director, Employer Markets.
You will have a background in:
Business Case & Strategic Alignment:
Develop, document, and implement strategy for the program team to achieve program outcomes and ensure program is aligned with broader organizational goals and objectives
Coach and mentor team to ensure identification and tracking of key performance indicators for benefit realization
Drive alignment on documentation summarizing the value delivered, success criteria, and scope (i.e. charter, roadmap, OKR, etc.)
Oversight & Coordination:
Oversee all activities associated with the program to ensure the goals and commitments are achieved
Oversee program resource utilization to ensure needs are met
Manage program’s budget to ensure business objectives are achieved within approved funding; budget ranges from $5.0m-$9.0m
Lead creation of the standard project management documentation (project plan, status reporting, risk/issue log, decision log, etc.) and mentor junior members on team in building project management best practices
Oversee decision-making and change control processes
Manage program risk and coordinate corrective measures, escalating through appropriate channels
End-to-End Delivery:
Manage integrated plan that encompasses all functional area activities critical to success of initiative
Hold leads accountable for functional area readiness, provide feedback and coach areas
Clear identification of critical dependencies and develop plan with associated mitigation strategies
Prepare affected departments for transition; anticipate potential roadblocks and coach areas on mitigation needs
Governance & Stakeholder Management:
Define program governance structure, inclusive of decision-making and overall Partner engagement plan
Responsible for execution and adherence of the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) framework
You will conduct and manage partner assessment to define level of engagement for each impacted functional area
Develop engagement plan based on area needs with clear communication plan on meeting cadences and communications (i.e. status reporting)
You will manage partners’ communications across all levels
What you bring:
8+ years of experience required
10+ years of experience required in project/program management, 12+ years of experience preferred
Four-year degree or 10 years relevant work experience required, Advanced degree preferred: MBA
