Description

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

As a Software Engineer in the Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) team working on EKS Anywhere, you will help us deliver the mission of helping customers run containers successfully anywhere. At Amazon EKS, we are building a core set of functionality that allows our customers to create and use Kubernetes at scale in their data centers or on AWS. You will be part of an exceptional team moving the needle towards making containers as the next generation compute platform everywhere. This is an opportunity to engineer systems on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in distributed systems and cloud computing.

You will be solving challenging technical problems, often ones not solved before, alongside peers with remarkable technical expertise. Basic Qualifications3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience programming with at least one software programming languagePreferred Qualifications3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentDevelopment experience with Golang.Experience with at least one of the following: Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker, etcd.Experience with Rancher, Openshift or other container orchestration platforms.Experience with design/architecting large-scale distributed systems preferably using AWS technologies.
