Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a talented Firmware Engineer who will be responsible for developing world-class firmware to fully maximize the strong hardware architecture of in-house servers. We are looking for individuals who enjoy creating firmware for networking products, prototyping concepts, and investigating new technologies. In this position, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust networking products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA designs into Server system architectures. Responsible for coding, developing, testing, and maintaining CPLD/FPGA firmware using Verilog or System Verilog for various Server related products. Debug and troubleshoot FPGA designs using simulation tools and hardware debugging tools. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science preferred; MS degree is strongly desirable. Minimum 3+ years of working experience in firmware development preferred. Familiarity with FPGA simulation and verification techniques. Strong programming skills in CPLD/FPGA, hands-on experience in Server or Computer products. Experience in SPI, I2C, UART, JTAG, 1 wire, and various communication protocols are strongly desirable and familiar with FPGA from Lattice, Xilinx or Intel(Altera). Experience in Firmware Security and developing complex hardware systems is a plus. Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location. Salary Range:
$85,000 - $146,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs. EEO Statement:
