Our Client is seeking a Candidate who will be part of the Cyber and Platforms (CAP) information technology team on the Command and Control Battle Management Communications (C2BMC) program, and assist the senior system administrators and government network subject matter experts with the management and sustainment of network components supporting associated support networks.

salary: $60 - 79 per hour
work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:
Knowledge of network architecture, engineering, design, implementation, and testing. Understanding of network communication protocols and network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) and IP network troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of network testing methodologies using routers, switches, and firewalls. Knowledge of TCP/IP behavior, network communications and routing protocols, network traffic analysis and troubleshooting experience.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience. Considered career, or journey, level.
Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Will also consider new college grads with appropriate degree and clearance.
Candidate must meet minimum requirements of DOD 8570 IAT II certification with any of the following certifications (Security +, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers.
Familiarity with network communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption products.
Minimum DoD Secret Clearance required upon start.
Desired:
If individual has any prior knowledge of the C2BMC networks or organization.
If candidate has knowledge, skill sets or experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (e.g., Wireshark).
Experience in Network Management Systems (HP Network Node Manager or Solarwinds or NAS/SAN technologies (NetApp, or Gigastore).
Certifications in the industry vendor Juniper or Cisco a plus.
