You will partner closely with the Global Product and Sales teams to bring our most important stories to life through physical and digital consumer touch points.The

Vice President of Marketing

is responsible for leading strategic marketing, brand management and consumer engagement across all consumer touch points and sales channels globally. The position requires extensive experience in marketing a multi-channel business with a deep understanding of both Direct to Consumer and premium brand Wholesale channels. The right candidate will have a proven track record of delivering innovative, high performing, digital strategies alongside on / offline community-based efforts that drive brand growth and community engagement.This position requires a strong understanding of brand strategy and deployment processes, creative briefing / management, digital performance marketing, organic social and community marketing. This customer obsessed leader is responsible for managing teams within a creative and entrepreneurial culture while concurrently ensuring investments deliver against budgets with effectiveness, efficiency and a strong ROI. Deep experience of product marketing and proven acumen of storytelling, integrating brand leadership in yoga, product to the consumer in an effective and relevant manner. Relevant experience with media planning and execution is also a requirement to drive brand awareness and growth. This role will also build and manage our ambassador strategy, ensuring a supported, collaborative, and engaged network is amplified globally. They will work in close partnership with all departments to ensure strong execution of the company’s initiatives.We're looking for an extraordinary marketing leader who can hit the ground running. The right candidate will maintain a strong bias for communication and action.RESPONSIBILITIES:Create and activate brand marketing plan guided by Manduka’s strategic initiativesSuccessfully synthesize Manduka’s unique brand insights to develop emotional relationships with the global consumer through meaningful, authentic stories, partnerships and initiatives;turn insights into action and driving results forwardOversee and deliver the creative briefing, development, and deployment of brand storytelling and product marketing, to develop necessary assets required for growth marketing – driving strong product desire and brand affinity, evoking emotional connections with target consumers, telling compelling stories and delivering on our larger Manduka brand strategyBuild, manage and innovate successful grassroots and community-based programs that drive strong connection and engagement with the brandIdentify new marketing opportunities that can deliver significant revenue and margin growth including the development and implementation of go-to-market strategiesDistill the global marketing strategy into regional strategies and executions, emphasizing global consistency with local relevancyPartner closely with the Global Product team to create marketing plans to ensure our most important product stories come to life through physical and digital consumer touch pointsIn partnership with DTC leadership, focus on both new consumer acquisition as well as loyalty programs to drive retention and engagement across Manduka’s digital channels; In partnership with the WHSL team, ensure the regional marketing strategy meets the needs of the business unit supporting the required sell-in and sell-through materialsForge relationships and build partnerships that drive credibility and awareness for the brandManage, develop and direct team of marketing professionals supporting the organization to ensure coordination of cross-functional activities and team alignmentBuild and manage global marketing budgets;establish and monitor key KPIs to rationalize marketing ROIQUALITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:Must be highly driven, self-starting and have a track record for developing, sourcing and closing significant new business and business development partnerships. In addition, candidate must possess:A passion for yoga and a healthy lifestyleA high degree of taste and sensibilityDeep experience in community development for premium brandAt least 10 years of leadership in product marketing or brand management for a multi-channel consumer driven global GTM (WHSL and DTC)Affinity for growth minded marketing programs driven by partnerships, PR, collaborationsProven team management of creative, media, experiential and event marketing, digital and performance marketing and organic social / PR / influencer marketing for a premium consumer goods brandAbility to successfully navigate and influence a matrixed organizationStrong business acumen, attention to detail and ability to work in a faced paced environmentExcellent collaboration, co-creation, and influencing skills demonstrated across different levels and functionsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:Years of related Leadership Experience: 10+ yearsBachelor's degree (preferably in business, marketing or related field)High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)Strong verbal and communication skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointWilling to travelThis is a hybrid role and will report to the El Segundo corporate office Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
