Our client is developing a novel platform that combines NGS techniques and data analysis tools to help reveal the impacts of gene editing on the genome, supporting the development of new therapies that are safer by design. The company has a great investor stack and is entering their high growth mode with plans to commercialize in 2025.About the PositionThe Business Development Executive (BDE) has a critical and impactful role within the organization and will drive success for a new product launch in the cell and gene therapy market. The BDE will develop and execute business plans aligned with national and commercial strategies and will identify high-value prospects for early access programs and commercial product launch. The BDE will have a strategic approach to build brand recognition, increase market share, and support commercial growth while building long-term relationships with KOLs and key stakeholders.
The BDE will collaborate with cross-functional teams to best support customer needs and will close large strategic deals by offering custom solutions. This BDE will have an entrepreneurial mindset and be motivated to help support the success of a rapidly growing startup company.About the RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field is required; Advanced degree is preferred8+ years of Sales experience focused on life science research toolsExpertise in cell biology, gene editing, and/or NGSKnowledgeable of cell and gene therapy research and pharmaceutical R&D workflowsTrack record of success selling high-value, complex solutions to multiple decision makers and negotiating large multi-year deals and/or licensesDemonstrated ability to craft term sheets, contracts, licensing and collaboration agreementsBuilds and maintains KOL relationships across all levels of pharma and biopharma organizationsStrong sales process, forecasting, and organizational skillsSelf-starter who thrives in high-growth environmentsHome-office based with up to 50% travel requiredTerritory: West CoastPosted:
