Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.The Principal Product Manager will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing customer-oriented services and launch strategy for the satellite communication services. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of satellite broadband, telecommunication, and direct to cell services for customers around the globe.The Role:

In this role, you will work directly with customers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to define Kuiper service offerings, pricing, and launch strategies via expertly crafted business requirements documents, which can easily be translated into product and engineering deliverables.You will work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have strong business judgment, dive deep into data, have strong writing skills, and be comfortable leading executive-level reviews. Candidates must be able to analyze and implement subscription lifecycle models with appropriate KPIs for different customer segments.Key Job Responsibilities

The candidate will have a deep understanding of customer needs for satellite communication services. Candidates with demonstrated business and operational experience within high scale fixed, wireless, and satellite telecommunications services targeting consumer and enterprise verticals is a must-have.Specific responsibilities include the following:Define the products and service strategy for Kuiper communication services to meet requirements of different customer verticals.Create detailed product requirements documents based on an intimate knowledge of the specific customer verticals including use case prioritization, feature definition, and product roadmap.Work with the leadership team to set the customer strategy and make appropriate high-judgment trade-offs between features and speed-to-launch.Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution and work with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver on that vision, e.g., engineering, sales, finance, operations, international, etc.Responsible for launch plan and enablement, working to ensure that all teams have what they need to be successful.Discover new business development opportunities, lead calls with key customers, create tools to support the success, help to identify opportunities to increase that success.Establish goals and review metrics to identify opportunities and deliver success.Research and identify new opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers.Anticipate bottlenecks, manage risk and escalations, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree7+ years of experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition5+ years of experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product5+ years of experience in technical product managementPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market.
