Delaware Museum of Nature & Science - Executive DirectorThe Delaware Museum of Nature and Science seeks a visionary and innovative thinker with a passion for sharing the wonders of nature and science for its Executive Director role. The Executive Director is responsible for the Museum’s overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management. The successful candidate will guide the Museum in advancing its mission, while ensuring financial sustainability and organizational growth. With an exciting new Strategic Plan designed to pursue collaborations that deepen the Museum’s roots and expand its reach, the next Executive Director will lead the Museum into a new era that redefines what it means to connect communities to nature and science.Key Responsibilities:
Innovative Leadership:
Foster a supportive culture of creativity and adaptability within the Museum. Encourage new ideas and technologies that enhance visitor experience and operational efficiency.Fundraising Acumen:
Lead the Museum's donor engagement strategy, focusing on cultivating and strengthening relationships with new and existing donors.Community Connector:
Actively engage with local and regional communities to enhance and expand the Museum’s impact and visibility.Visionary & Strategic Thinking:
Drive the strategic plan of the Museum forward, ensuring alignment of its goals with operational execution.Mission Focus:
Amplify the Museum's mission and ensure that all programs, exhibits, and initiatives align with the Museum's core values.Role & Responsibilities:
Leadership Vision and Executive Management:
Champion a culture of innovation, nurturing an environment of curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and employee development.Community Relations and Fundraising:
Act as the ‘face of the Delaware Museum of Nature and Science,’ engaging deeply with the local and broader community.Board Management:
