Apple Financial Services (AFS) is looking for a worldwide controller, responsible for risk and portfolio management, analytics, forecasting and accounting. The ideal candidate possesses high commercial acumen and is able to bring a commercial finance perspective to support the global AFS business. Under their leadership, the AFS finance team will manage data and reporting from dozens of partners, build and manage analytics on AFSʼ business and provide insights and reporting to senior leadership within AFS, finance and sales. A highly demanding role with the feel of a startup environment that will help enable sales through industry leading partners and financial structuring.DescriptionLead the AFS product risk portfolio on a global basis.Own accounting implications of AFSʼ business and collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast such impact.Present exposure, business insights, and P&L clearly and effectively to finance and sales leadership with a view toward recommending and driving strategic business decisions.Become a subject matter expert in the AFS business as it relates to accounting, operations, forecasting and analytics in a way that translates into the commercial needs of the organization.Understand the global AFS business to allow you to effectively represent AFS to a variety of internal and external partners.Leading and mentoring team of analysts.Minimum Qualifications7+ years of experience in sales or commercial finance or related roles.BS degree in finance, economics or related discipline.Preferred QualificationsAbility to lead a highly-leveraged team.Understanding of financing and leasing solutions relevant for B2B and B2C customers across Apple’s key global markets.Strong executive presence with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.Team-oriented and ambitious.Proven ability to think strategically as well as solve tactical and financial problems and lead across internal functional teams.Strong financial analytical skills.Great communication and presentation skills.Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into relevant commercial insights to drive business strategies.Excellent Excel, Tableau, and system knowledge. Experience with Dataiku, SQL, and Python/R a plus.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $178,900 and $269,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
