The Associate Director, Integrated Analytics and Market Research – MM Portfolio position is responsible for leading the integration and execution of market research and analytics to generate new business insights and uncover growth opportunities for J&J Multiple Myeloma brands within the Oncology business unit. This position will serve as an internal consultant to marketing, sales, and other business partners: delivering business building recommendations, shaping decision-making, and driving organizational action. The position plays a key role in guiding the business in the development and evaluation of new and existing strategies and tactics and as a result, shares accountability for business results.
This individual must have outstanding leadership skills, a consistent track record to lead collaboration across teams, inspire without authority, and encourage sensible risk-taking. They will have the tenacity and fortitude to pursue novel solutions and analytics that address the needs of patients. They will be personally accountable for making Johnson & Johnson Credo-based decisions and encouraging a Credo-based culture.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Integrated Analytics and Market Research lead for the US Multiple Myeloma Portfolio business, identifying, crafting, and completing market research and analytics which inform strategy and tactics.
Leverage disparate data and insights to address key business questions, uncover opportunities, evaluate performance, and assess impact of tactics.
Develop insights that lead to actionable recommendations, enhance portfolio competitiveness, and influence business partner decision making at all levels.
Oversee the integration of data, stewardship of business rules, and management of projection methodologies to deliver an aligned and cohesive view of the MM market and J&J portfolio performance.
Construct annual analytics and market research plans aligned to business priorities and manage associated budget.
Find opportunities to embed partner capabilities (Advanced Analytics, Access Insights, Patient Engagement, Incentive Compensation, Commercial Deployment, Data Strategy, etc.) to drive impact for portfolio and organizational efficiency.
Demonstrate leadership courage to set boundaries and ensure time is spent on the most critical/high value projects.
Coach and develop team of direct reports to achieve career aspirations and strengthen foundational skills as insights professionals and trusted advisors to the business.
QualificationsEducation:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, advanced degree preferred.
Experience and Skills
Required:
At least eight (8) years of relevant business experience in analytics, market research, forecasting, competitive intelligence, data science, or consulting.
High technical acumen, with direct tangible experience querying, drawing insights, and delivering business recommendations from longitudinal patient claims and lab datasets (e.g. Komodo, Symphony, MMIT, Quest, etc.).
Working knowledge of foundational pharmaceutical industry datasets (e.g. IQVIA DDD, EDI 852/867, etc.) and their practical applications to brand performance.
Comfort in storytelling and developing effective presentations through compelling visualizations of data with comprehensive and impactful recommendations and solutions that drive key decisions.
Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and integrity to define business questions with a focused approach to solving through market research and analytics.
Knowledge across a broad spectrum of quantitative and qualitative market research approaches and ability to construct a research plan which identifies appropriate approach to address business questions and shape brand strategy in-line with strategic imperatives.
Experience and desire to lead and develop a team of individual contributors.
Preferred:
Oncology or Multiple Myeloma experience.
Experience working on or directly with pharmaceutical brand marketing/sales teams.
Other:
This position is based in Horsham, PA on a hybrid in-office schedule and will require up to 5% domestic travel.
