Senior Associate, Financial Communications to join our Houston team . Working at the intersection of business, finance, public policy, and media, the Senior Associate position is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in communications, public relations, and crisis management to develop research, writing, and media skills at a prestigious firm with high-profile clients.Senior Associates work with clients in all industries on both long-term communications assignments such as profile raising, media relations and investor relations; and on special situations such as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and management changes, investor-related issues, issues and crisis management, corporate governance matters and litigation support.The Senior Associate position is hybrid with an expectation of at least three days per week in the office, based in our Houston office.Responsibilities:Serve as an important member of the account staff team, providing both strategic and tactical support to senior staff members.Act as the account project manager assigning responsibilities and ensuring activities are completed on-time.Be the focal point for information on his/her accounts, knowing everything that is going on and anticipating the client and team’s needs.Develop first drafts of communications materials (for example, strategic communications plans, press releases, investor presentations, talking points, Q&A documents, etc.) and managing the review process.Integrate strategic messages into written work.Oversee research assignments, media coverage compilations and various other projects assigned to junior staff members, providing guidance, support and instruction, and carefully reviewing final products before sharing with senior staff members and clients.Build and manage media relationships, including responding to inbound inquiries.Interface with clients.Qualifications:3-5 years of relevant experience in communications, finance, law, or related field.Strong knowledge of, or experience in, strategic communications, client service, financial services, and/or investor relations.Strong time management and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and an ability to balance multiple assignments and client situations.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including excellent proofreading and grammatical skills.Strong research skills, including critical thinking and ability to analyze broad scope of information.Highly collaborative, with an ability to work well in teams.Well-honed project management skills.Mature, with good judgement with the ability to engage with people at all levels.Well-rounded, adaptable, and detail-oriented individual comfortable working through challenges.Solid judgment and the capacity to accurately assess complicated situations and ask the right questions.Highly motivated and calm under pressure.Technological proficiency, well versed in Microsoft Office, experience with Bloomberg a plus.Ability to work diligently under time constraints.An interest in business, public policy and regulatory issues.A quick learner, who is prepared to jump in at a moment’s notice.Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.What We OfferCompetitive compensation package, including annual profit-sharing/bonus.Great health benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance.401(k) with a 50% matching program.Generous time off benefits.A collaborative group of smart, passionate and highly motivated people.Team-oriented work environment structured to provide opportunities for professional growth and development.FGS Global provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, disability, or genetics.
