Job Summary The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for resolving escalated service incidents and complex requests, coaching other engineers, leading implementation of complex projects, and maintaining and overseeing the technology of their assigned accounts. This role is a key position within the Infrastructure and Cloud Operations team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidate must be a self-motivated and positive-minded engineer with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, multi-disciplined team environment. Qualifications
Job Specifications - MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education Level | Experience Required • Bachelor degree in discipline appropriate to assignment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Related certifications will be helpful. • The candidate must have 5+ years of experience supporting an enterprise environment (500+ server environment, 3,000+ client endpoints).
Knowledge Required • 5-10 years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining Windows Server 2008 or later systems. • 5-7 years of experience engineering and administering Exchange server enterprise environment. • 5-7 years intermediate level understanding of network principles. • 3-5 years working in a VMware Environment. • 3-5 years troubleshooting application, hardware and storage environments and infrastructure. • 1-2 years administering Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure.
Desired Skills | Certifications • Exchange Server Engineering/Administration. • Office 365 Engineering/Administration. • ITIL v3 Certification. • Active Directory/Group Policy knowledge. • VMWare experience (5.1, 5.5). • Scripting (PowerShell, Python and JSON). • Cloud platform experience Amazon Web Services (preferred) | Microsoft Azure. • Forefront Identity Manager knowledge. • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager | Operations Manager. • Strong organizational skills. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Lync | Skype for Business Administration. • Enterprise Vault Archive Administration. • Experience in data security and server hardening techniques. • Proficiency in Change Management processes and procedures. • Large Enterprise experience.
