Atlanta, GA USANCR Voyix is quickly accelerating its adoption of GCP and Azure Cloud technologies, so our applications can provide our customers with the enterprise grade performance and availability they have come to expect. The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role will be building tools and providing subject matter expertise to the Restaurants business unit. We’ve taken an “automate everything” approach to building, deploying, and operating their services. You’ll get to establish yourself as a technical leader by utilizing a broad range of industry leading technologies and use automation to help improve product availability. This will in turn help drive the acceleration of Restaurant software portfolio.Responsibilities:Technical lead of newly initiated High Availability Disaster Recovery projectMentor and provide leadership to the entire teamEnsure alignment of technical solutions with business strategy and goalsEstablish and enforce top-level coding standards, practices, and development methodologiesEngage with stakeholders at all levels to shape and influence the HA and DR strategyPromote innovation and the adoption of new technologies and practices within the teamREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalentExcellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skillsExceptional understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices10+ years of professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Dev Ops, or Software Development role5+ years of experience working with GCP/Azure Cloud infrastructure/network5+ years of experience working with GCP/Azure Cloud project/subscription constructs5+ years working with CI/CD tools and technology (Jenkins, Github Actions and Artifactory)5+ years working with IaC/CM technology (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Chef)5+ years of working with Cloud SQL databasesExperience with enterprise level applicationsAbility to document and publish recommendations and guidanceADDITIONAL SKILLS:Production implementation of disaster recovery strategies for cloud applicationsAutomation of disaster recovery failover processes (DNS, load balancers, health checks)Proven track record of leading major projectsTroubleshoot and diagnose issues in complex systems with future improvement in mindManage systems deployed in Kubernetes driven hosting environments and IaaS virtual machine topologiesExperience with GKE and AKSExperience with Flux CD and Argo CDExperience with Microsoft SQL Server, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Bigtable, and/or Cosmos DBExperience with following tools: Jenkins, Sensu, Datadog, FilebeatExperience in configuring Kafka, Cassandra, Hadoop/YARN, and ZookeeperSignificant experience with at least one traditional development language (go, c#, ruby, python, java, etc.)Significant experience automating tasks with a shell language (bash, PowerShell)Expertise in architecture, installation, implementation, integration, security, and administration in a multi-platform system in remote data center environmentsExperience with agile concepts, especially ScrumExperience of using Jira and ConfluenceOffers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.EEO StatementIntegrated into our shared values is NCR Voyix’s commitment to diversity and equal employment opportunity.
