Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled architect/lead to join our IT team in Denver, CO, specializing in video engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, particularly within the IT and video engineering sectors, and will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of complex projects.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project execution.Solution Design:
Develop comprehensive solutions, with architecture design including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure successful implementation.Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and video engineering teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.Budget Management:
Monitor project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and project success.Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.Reporting:
Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and any issues that need resolution.Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate project processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Experience:
Minimum of 15+ years of experience in solutioning, architecture, and design, with a focus on IT and video engineering projects.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Java technologies, Microservices, and familiarity with video engineering technologies.Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and deliver results.Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to lead and manage project teams, with a track record of successful project delivery.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud-based video processing and streaming technologies.Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).Knowledge of video compression standards and codecs.Salary and Other Compensation:Applications will be accepted until 11/29/2024. The annual salary for this position is between $100,440.00 - $181,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.Benefits:
