Join the ML Systems Evaluation Engineering (MLSEE) team at Apple and contribute to a highly accomplished team that evaluates AIML products, delighting and inspiring millions of people!DescriptionYou will participate in engineering design discussions and will be responsible for the end user experience. Your role includes designing and implementing production quality web applications/ML Evaluations Platform. You will need to be comfortable working both collaboratively and independently in a rapidly changing environment with ever-changing priorities. We are passionate about user experience and crafting best-in-class products.Minimum Qualifications5+ years experience in building responsive and user-friendly web applications and services/full stack development.Strong software engineering skills, including system design, development, testing, debugging, release, and maintenance.Proven expertise with popular web development frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, ...).Proven expertise in Python (required), REST APIs, and at least one other object-oriented programming language (e.g., Swift, C#, Go, Java).Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS, and Data visualization with D3.js or other frameworks.Basic understanding of modular design, ES6, WebSockets, client-side caching, etc.Experience with the full lifecycle of ModelOps pipelines, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring is a plus.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Preferred QualificationsReal passion for UX and design.Proven experience to write reliable, resilient, performant, and well-tested code.Knowledge of statistics-based evaluation approaches, ML training pipelines, and accuracy improvements of ML systems (Preferred).Ability to develop long-term strategic visions and execute scalable solutions in fast-paced, agile work environments.Strong organizational skills and experience working with multiple stakeholders.Big Data pipeline experience is a huge plus.Experience working in AWS cloud environment is a plus.Additional RequirementsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
